Size

Half the size - half the energy usage
In order to display information that is short or is regularly repeated, small displays are often sufficient. Stretched TFT displays are a low-priced and efficient solution, which use significantly less energy compared to a normal-sized TFT display.

placement options
Especially in public transport vehicles, there is often not enough room to place standard displays.
Displays with bespoke measurements  allow the best use of available surface areas:
• with regard to ceiling heights / headroom in vehicles or at station stops
• above doors (route information displays)
• alongside the direction of travel
• according to vehicle seating (optimal line of vision for passengers)

Multiple use
Stretched TFT displays allow customisable split screen viewing (50:50/30:70/…) and are therefore, perfect for the simultaneous display of information or ads. Moreover they offer versatile advertising space with guaranteed customer frequency.

Further areas of use
Apart from their classic use, namely for  station stop displays or for route displays, our bespoke TFT displays offer a wide range of other applications:
• Displays in ticket machines
• Transfer information near doors of vehicles
• Signposting systems at railway stations
• and many more

Mechanics
ADITECH TFT displays are produced exactly to your specification - also with regard to their mechanical components. The tough and vibrationproof casings are manufactured to fit in with your fastenings and can be supplemented with additional mounting bolts, e.g. for the electronic control system, if need be.

Backlighting
ADITECH creates client-specific backlighting units for each TFT display (luminance density up to 2.000cd/m²). In this way the display can be fine-tuned to the luminance density you require, or allow sensor-controlled adjustments to the ambience brightness of the specific location.

In addition, LED selection systems developed by ADITECH allow an especially efficient light yield and ensure an extremely low energy usage and a longer life span of the LEDs (~100,000h).

Selection
ADITECH TFT displays are controlled via a dual LVDS interface by default. Control via DVI, VGA or additional formats is also possible. This is effected via an ADITECH controller, which can be programmed for all common TFT models.

Thermal management
Depending on the brightness of the display, we provide cooling elements on the reverse side, which are adjusted to fit in with the performance required by the client and the particular ambient operating conditions (cooling area, direction of vent, etc.).
Additionally, we can integrate overheating protection on demand.

Readability
Usage of TFT displays to deliver passenger information often necessitates positioning the display above head height, for example in the ceiling of underground or urban railway carriages or at great height on railway platforms. In order to effect optimal readability from all angles and in all lighting conditions, including direct exposure to sunlight, ADITECH displays can additionally be equipped with a special anti-glare component. The tempered safety glass used for this purpose  also serves as protection against vandalism and as shatter protection.
