ADITECH Flüssigkristallanzeigen GmbH was founded by the physicist Dr Gernot Schauer and the industrial engineer Hermann Holz in Heidenheim, Germany, in 1993. Both of them are experienced LCD experts, who had worked for seven years in the LCD industry before striking out on their own and successfully founding their company.
After only a year in business, this young company had gained a successful market share.
ADITECH GmbH has its headquarters in Heidenheim/Brenz. This mid-sized town is located in Eastern Baden-Wuerttemberg - the land of thinkers, tinkerers and inventors - near the Swabian Alps, just off the motorway A7 Ulm-Würzburg.
After five years in the Technologie- und Gründerzentrum (technology start-up centre) followed the move to the Weststadt area of Heidenheim. Since then, 35 employees have been working in the generously sized company premises in Steinheimer Straße. On 1,200 sqm, ADITECH GmbH produces "LCD technology at its best" for a variety of well-known clients.
Today ADITECH GmbH is one of the globally most successful producers of liquid crystal displays for passenger and traffic information systems and is a technology leader in the industry.
